In 2006, Fides Petfood® set up an ultramodern production unit in Ostend. This plant is specialized in the customized production of dehydrated dog and cat food, both to serve the company’s own brands and a variety of customers in the distribution sector of supermarkets and specialty chains for animals and gardens.

The most advanced technology was used in the construction of this unit and resulted in a modern and adaptable production system that challenges the highest quality standards.

The fully automated and computer-controlled extruder line forms the core of the production unit. This very advanced computerisation of the system allows at any and all times to flawlessly produce a constant and reliable end product.

An integrated quality management control system based on EN-ISO-9001:2000 and the HACCP norms is effectively carried out throughout the entire production process.
